Blogging For Our Generation
Our Goal
Lots of people have blogs that focus only on themselves. We wanted to create a blog that we will focus on helping others! Using the Ron Clark book, "The Essential 55", we are selecting rules that we think all kids our age should know in order to be the best they can be! We will be giving you examples that we see in our lives to help you understand these rules more clearly. Together, lets help make the future bright for our generation!
Rule of the Week #14
When you win or do well at something, do not brag. Never insult others. Doing so only shows your own weakness.
Rule of the Week #13
When you sneeze, burp, or yawn, cover your mouth with the inside of your elbow. Not doing so is simply unacceptable.
Rule of the Week #10
Never save spaces for friends or "cut" in line. Doing so just hurts the feelings of others.
Rule of the Week #9
When you are given something, always say "thank you". It is very rude to seem unappreciative.
Rule of the Week #8
When a substitute teacher is in your classroom, you will behave in the same manner as you would when your normal teacher is at school. All rules still apply.
Rule of the Week #7
When homework is assigned, do not moan or complain. This will result in a double assignment.
Rule of the Week #6
When someone asks you a question, always ask them one in return. This shows that you are just as interested in them as they are in you.
Rule of the Week #5
When you are given something from someone, never insult that person by making negative comments about hte gift by insinuating that it wasn't appreciated.
Rule of the Week #4
Rule of the Week #2
Make eye contact. When someone is speaking, keep your eyes on him or her at all times. If someone makes a comment, turn and face that person.
Rule of the Week #1
When responding to any adult, you must answer by saying "Yes ma'am or No sir." Just nodding your head or saying any other form of yes or no is not acceptable.
